Sharon Terry asked for suggestions about pp depression. My favorite
herbal medicine book recommends oats for depression. Has anyone else
heard of this/tried this? Does anyone think it would work in pp depression,
which is probably mostly hormone-based?
Personally, I firmly believe that new moms don't get enough rest, and
more of this would go a long way in improving most things in their
frantic new life-style.
BTW - you mentioned the mother-in-law, but not the mother. Where is
she? I've seen some great mothers-in-law (not mine, personally) and I
hope some day to BE a great mother-in-law, but, let's face it,
sometimes grandmas are a disaster for a new mom and can generate pp
depression w/o the help of chaotic hormones. Judy K.
