To me Breastfeeding is: the 'scientific nuts+bolts', technical know-how,
 the act of literally feeding our young.
While nursing implies, as you say above, 'nurturing', caring, cuddling, way
beyond the simple act of transfering a highly nutritive foodstuff.

After all, what are we talking about when we speak of NON-nutritive sucking?
