By now I will assume that your mom as quit. I can only tell you, as some
small comfort, that over the years I have learned that our job is ONLY to
offer the knowledge and support that is lacking for many women to
successfully bf their children. But if we don't count on the 100% (even 79%
is a good start) commitment and cooperation of the mother herself.....we're
just spinning our wheels. (is there such a thing as 'pumping in vain'?)

On Lactnet we're heard about abusive mothers (scary) and apathetic mothers
(pitiful) but it takes all kinds of people to fill this world...and as LCs
we're going to meet them all.  Don't take a failure, on the mother's part,
upon your shoulders. You have too many others to help that WANT your input.
