Keep on pushing for getting rid of this corruption...and know that my "be
strong" thoughts are flowing your way.

Just think about how I felt when the director of the oldest and most (?)
pretigious private hosp. here told me I couldn't visit the new mothers,as I
had been doing FOR FREE, letting them know that support and info. was
available if they needed it. He said, and I quote,"If a patient calls you ,
of course you can visit her.....but don't just go interupting the work of
the nurses", etc.
He even said the nurses were complaining....which was a baldfaced lie since
they have asked me why did I stop coming? They felt my assistance and
orientation to the new mothers saved them lots of time, and offered info.
that they didn't know. Basically, this hospital's game is the Almightly
Buck, and the formula companies, which have this place sewn up tight as a
drum were going to lose ground if things leaned more toward BF. Basically,
I was barred. It took me months to get over the emotional SHOCK of this
rejection.

The truth is that the guy who visits all the patients trying to rent T.V.s
is more welcome to roam the halls than this humble servant. Naturally, the
Director of the hosp. must have a piece of the action on the TV rentals. (I
know this for a fact) What a bummer!

Happily, in all the other private hosps here I am welcomed with open arms,
respected and looked up to as someone who has something valuable to offer.
Many other ped. and gyns consoled me when this happened and told me not to
take it too much to heart, but it was a very painful lesson to learn.

Keep on, Judy. Tests make us stronger.....and maybe even wiser.
