I always feel more hopeful about the mother's chances for long-term bf if
the father seems interested in what we are doing when I help the mom's breast-
feed.  Depending on the kind of reactions I get from the woman and her
partner, I draw him in more and more, saying "Look at this great latch--
you'll be able to check this for your wife," and giving him hands-on things
to do to help, also.
