Hi, my name is Nancy Coulter. I have subscribed to Lactnet for 2 weeks
and just now got a system organized to the point where I can go through
the messages and have enough time and energy left to respond.

I am a Maternal Child Health Clinical Nurse Specialist who coordinates
a Preterm Birth Prevention Program in a large HMO in Los Angeles. I am
also a UCLA Certified Lactation Consultant who has been in private
practice for about 6 years. I have also worked part time in 2
different community hospitals as a lactation consultant. Even though I
work full time outside of lactation I can't give up working with
breastfeeding families. I also teach Breastfeeding classes in 2 local
hospitals.

Most of the women I see are busy working mothers who come to
breastfeeding with the expectation that they will probably only nurse
until they go back to work. It is always a joy to talk with them weeks
later and hear them say that breastfeeding is so much easier than they
thought it would be or that their friends told them it would be

I'm glad to be part of Lactnet and all the wonderful information and
"spiritual" sharing.

Nancy
