The issue of using a vinegar solution for treating thrush, does anyone know
what solution is the most effective? I know that yeast spores will continue
to grow in a mildly acidic environment. Also I am aware of the toxicity of
gentian violet, but understand that it is more effective than nystatin and
only need to be used for three days, it is also important to only use a .25
or .5% solution. Perhaps with only a three day trial it would solve the
problem of waiting weeks to find out that in fact the problem is not a
result of yeast? Feedback would be of interest.

One of our local hospitals uses grated carrot for treating sore nipples.
There has been some concern about the scientific basis for this practice.
Although I have been impressed with how quickly it seems to dry up bleeding
nipples, however that could also be the result of correcting position/latch.
Carrots do contain beta carotene a precursor to vitamin A known to promote
tissue healing so perhaps there is something to it. Can anyone help?
