I have experience with three cases now, and each is unique. Flare-ups have been active in two and not in the other at delivery. The condition can be very destructive to breast tissue in general. FYI, steroids seem to be the best choice; one of our moms said she did not respond to anything except when she started taking manuka honey, and seems to have kept the condition at bay with that-- no proof or rationale, just stating the situation. You can email me if you'd like to discuss further as I had to research the condition in order to help! Dr. Karen Bodner id'd our first case and clued me in.
