I've had some babies come back at 4, 6, 9 mos down the road... and now mom has developed blebs that get bigger and bigger. I watch the nursing and it is clear where the friction is coming from. I think this late development happens when the babies become restless feeders or have started teething; what was working precariously before no longer is working. I wish I could say that the babies were treated and did better, but the migrant mothers still have not felt comfortable with the idea of treating the baby, especially when the pediatrician was not on board. They either pump or wean.
