I have been on Lactnet for so long I can't even remember when I joined. I'm
pretty sure it was before my 18 year old was born, but not sure how long
before. I can't imagine it not being here as I went from a LLL to IBCLC I
feel like I learned so much here. I also remember being so scared to post
and thinking it would sound so wrong!

My most memorable post (and there have been many) was a mom not getting any
relief from mastitis after multiple rounds of the same antibotic and the
rash/redness from it. All the posts about inflammatory breast cancer
followed and talking about so few OB's know about it. A few months later
before my yearly exam I saw a red rash on my breast and my first thought was
'crap I have IBC!' What made it hilarious was during my exam my OB asked
how long I had that rash and I told him about a day and since I do LC work
my first thought was IBC, he replied 'me too. . .but it has ' and went on to
explain why it wasn't IBC just a rash. We both laughed after and it was
nice knowing my OB wasn't entirely clueless.
