The amount of peppermint used topically in the studies was well below one percent.

Used topically at this concentration, peppermint will have no anti-galactogogue effect.

Galactogogues and anti-galactogogues act on the anterior pituitary gland to raise or lower prolactin levels.

They must have high enough plasma levels to systemically affect prolactin levels, and thus, are taken orally.

Systemic levels of peppermint from topical products, including used on the nipple area, would be miniscule.
