I posted on the Lactnet Facebook group because I don't know how to post a picture here. If anyone here is not on Facebook but has experience with the types of stools that are typical in a baby with proctocolitis, I would love to send you the photo and get feedback. Here is what I posted on the Facebook group.
PTP.
Does anyone know what this diaper indicates? Baby has proctocolitis and mom is on an elimination diet, no soy, no dairy, no eggs and no nuts. Baby is still having symptoms of fussiness and blood and mucous in stools. Mom and baby are also taking probiotics and mom finally got her scrip for digestive enzymes and will begin taking them soon.
This diaper was unusual according to the mom. He also had 2 oz of Puramino formula the day before this diaper.
(The picture shows a mucousy yellow stool with stringy brown/black stuff in it.)
