Hello to all,
My head is kind of spinning in trying to understand the Affordable Care
Act. What gets me is that, I can't find anything that states how to use
it to help me.
Everything I read leads me back to this site:
http://www.healthcare.gov/news/factsheets/2010/07/preventive-services-list.html#CoveredPreventiveServicesforWomenIncludingPregnantWomen
Ok fine. I don't know how to use this information. I would really
appreciate it if someone could help me either by posting here or
privately is fine.
I am currently working part time in peds office plus keeping up with my
PP. The ped that I work with has me seeing most breastfeeding babies on
day 5 ish. I would like to have a conversation with anyone that is doing
what I am doing and how your services are billed. I know that I can be
referred to as an Allied Health Care Professional. I know the LC DX ICD
codes. The ped uses the same codes that I would be using....She wants me
to see the pt on the same day that she sees. So how does she bill for my
services? Is it possible to bill for my services separate from hers?
I do have my own supper bill that I use for my private practice. I give
all the info to the parents and I let them file the claim if they chose.
Should I be using my super bill in the office and filing the claim?
Currently I am billing her a set fee for each pt that I see, every time
I see them.
How often can the same Lactation Code be used?
Another random question:
When using a Super bill do you enter the amount that you are charging or
are there set amounts to put into the fee column and what is the
percentage of what is being reimbursed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
