A client's 4 day old  baby is in NICU with thrombocytopenia. Platelet levels were 5 yesterday, 47 today post transfusion.  Dad reports that the cause is that "mom's antibodies are attacking baby's platelets."
Question: is it likely that the baby will react to the antibodies in mom's milk as well? is this a good reason to use donor milk or to formula feed? or is it likely that the baby is only reacting to placental antibodies? 

very worried.
