Thank you for mentioning my article, Celina. I would like to urge everyone to not lightly advice 12-24 hour blocks to mothers and only if you are certain to be able to closely follow up on a daily basis try it with severe, non responding cases of oversupply. My own approach in the meantime has been evolving into combining FDBF in an earlier stage with sage tea in small portions and adjusting portions and frequency according to how the breasts react to it.

Warmly,

Gonneke, IBCLC in PP, LC lecturer in southern Netherlands where Spring seems to being taking over from a failing winter

>Gonneke's IBJ - http://www.internationalbreastfeedingjournal.com/content/2/1/11  last case study on the page, describes treatment of a woman with a similar situation and the block feedings are not what we usually think of when we are helping someone with oversupply - she's talking 12 - 24hrs!  but controllable and there are foods and herbs such as sage, mint teas and candies, sour and astringent herbs and foods..which can reduce supply.
