A nice set of articles addressing common misconceptions about formula
feeding is running this week.

I sent the author a note suggesting a minor change, and she responded
promptly and positively.

Thank you for the excellent articles addressing common misconceptions about
formula. I would like to make one small correction in this sentence:
"Lactation consultants from La Leche League or Women, Infants and Children
can help with these issues." It should read, "Lactation consultants in
private practice or with an agency such as the Women, Infants and Children
(WIC) program, and peer counselors from La Leche League International, can
help with these and other issues." You see, LLLI is a peer counseling
organization (of immense value) which depends on mother-to-mother support by
volunteers. Lactation consultants (IBCLCs) undergo rigorous training and
education, and sit their board exams every 5-10 years to obtain and retain
their credentials.
Response:
Thank you so much for the correction! I will make the change in the article.
