I saw a baby like this a few years ago.  That baby's tongue seemed literally glued to the floor of his mouth, front to back, side to side.  No elevation, no cupping, very little mobility.  Mother had severely lacerated, "hamburger" nipples.  The breastfeeding medicine specialist I sent this couplet to told me later it was the worse TT she'd ever seen.  I suspect this MD is the same one Michele's daughter went to... ;-)  We are very lucky here in the Pacific Northwest, USA, aren't we?  :-)
