Well, I'm going to speak up for the other side. Horrors!
As a pediatrician, what goes on between me and my patients/patient's parents 
is confidential. Even if it is not officially "legal" as long as there is no 
harm. I do not see any harm in breastfeeding, provided the mom is not HIV 
positive, despite what all the social work and legal people say.

So I would help the mom latch the twins on. This mom didn't even have to 
tell you her story - but she did. We aren't the "authorities" - we are 
health care providers. Or at least as physicians we are.
