If the mom is pumping to keep up supply she may try to give baby breastmilk in the bottle as a test (one w/a good cream layer on top to start with) and see if baby has the same reaction. If baby is fine w/this then you may begin looking at foremilk issues/oversupply issues that are upsetting the digestive tract. If baby however has the same reaction even w/this then perhaps beginning an elimination diet immediately and attempting baby at the breast again in 1 week, then 2 weeks, then 3 etc until the offending allergen is noted. Common allergies as just posted on list are milk, egg, soy, wheat, tree nut and peanut allergies. Having mom identify any family allergies, any allergens consumed in mass may be helpful in deciding what to eliminate first. Alternatively, if you  have a local practioner willing to test baby for allergens this may simplify things. Good luck!
