I am just finishing my day and had time to catch up on Lactnet reading = )
As I read about this I was reminded of a patient I worked with a little while back (maybe 2 yrs ago) at a delivery hospital in Maryland (USA). The mom had her previous child in Russia and was puzzled as to why I wasn't going to weigh her baby before and after a feeding before discharge to home at 2 days after birth. Took me a bit of explaining but she was eventually satisfied with Not weighing the baby.

Currently in Washington DC, but very ready to head home
