I would be very wary of Skype consults as a first line consultation. I need
to touch, smell and hear...we use all our senses without even realizing how
much information we get from them. I could see using Skype for follow up,
or fine tuning after you have done a thorough assessment. With that said, I
now have a mom living on the Isle of Mann who really needs help. She was in
my breastfeeding prep class before she moved. I may try to see what is
going on via Skype until I can find her help nearby, but as I say, I am very
wary.
