Dear Friends:

For me, the surprise about this study is that I had a belief that woman that
donated their milk were somehow different to other women, purer maybe or
somehow elevated. WRONG!

As for the positive serology.....that is taken care of with pasteurization,
that kills all the nasty viruses. Can't boil organs (folks have become HIV+
after receiving organs), can't boil blood or semen (it won't work any
more)....can pasteurize milk, thank goodness.

So perhaps the word needs to get out on the street that if you get milk from
another person, and not a certified milk bank, then pasteurize it.

What concerns me is how deadly it will be to our cause if there is one case
of some mother or baby contracting a nasty disease from informal milk
sharing. Never mind that formula makes babies sick or kills
them.....lactivism can't afford the negative press that is sure to ensue if
such a case is discovered. Remember the milk banks that closed after 1981,
when HIV was identified.....only recently has the milk bank movement
recovered.

warmly,
