Does the infant have any sattelite rashes that makes one think yeast?? Does mom have the sattelite rash anywhere on her body? Has she been on antibiotics?? Not all nipple redness, shooting pain etc is yeast. I tend to think bacterial first then yeast. I agree patient needs to be seen by MD not PA. I would go one step further and she needs to find a breast friendly MD.
