Hello Ann,
I have never counseled a mom in this situation, but I work in radiation
protection in the nuclear industry.

There is no effect on milk due to external radiation. None. Depending on the
dose, there may be damage to the mammary tissue and, as a consequence, a
reduction or even full loss of milk production.
