I need your wisdom desperately.
 I have permission to post.
I have a very motivated mom who continues to exclusively breastfeed in spite
of a much damaged cracked left nipple. Baby is 6 weeks old with no tongue
tie and not even a sub mucosal (you can trust me on that I have looked
several times)
Baby latches on perfectly.
For the cracked nipple, she started using APNO (Dr. Newman's recipe) for 2
weeks with no improvement. She than used the 3 creams individually,
alternating each one at a time after a feeding, for 2 more weeks again with
no improvement. She keeps it clean; there is no redness around it, no fever
just an open wound. She has copious amount of milk and changes her breast
pads regularly and exposes them to air as much as possible. She is in good
health, generally. Does not have anemia.
I have heard of some clinics where they use Mepilex with good results. Has
anybody used it? I would love to hear more about it. Here is the link for
Mepilex: http://www.directmedicalinc.com/wound/mepilex.html
 Cheers!
