I've seen individual cases also of reduced supply with the Merena IUD. Read the "ingredients". Sounds like a version of estrogen to me.
But Hale's chart says it's Acceptable.

The Mirena IUD can lower milk supply--there are case reports. I was not
aware that the Copper 7 could.

There is a study using Nova-T (non-hormonal) vs a 10 and 30 mg
levonorgestrel releasing IUD.

Contraception 182;25:279-291. The duration was longest in the
non-hormonal group but it was not
significant. What was significant is that those using the 30mg IUD were
significanlty more likely not to
be breastfeeding 75 days after insertion 44% vs. 79%. Chris Betzold NP
