My clarification got lost in the ether somewhere in a
spiritually/emotionally rewarding and satisfying but altogether
incredibly busy day here at the WIC clinic:

I can already make what I think is an exceedingly compelling argument
not to delay STS, but of course I would enjoy and benefit from all the
additional evidence and arguments you all can give me.What I most want,
however, what I really truly was searching for, is for someone to hit me
with all the reasonable sounding arguments _*for delaying STS_,* so I'll
be prepared in advance to rebuff everything that could come up.

An additional question:

We've all seen preauricular pits, and some of these babies had
abnormalities that are associated with that type of facial marking.I saw
a pit at the corner of a newborn's mouth this week, and wonder if anyone
has documented an association with any abnormalities?

started to bud
