Hi all,
This is my second post today (other post on induced lactation). I just wanted to thank all the women who wrote on mother-to mother support before Christmas. I was feeling really weary and the encouraging things said lifted my spirits. I am a LLL Leader of 13 years (running a group as a solo Leader but with a great set of group mums) and I am trying to set up in private practice as a PPLC. The last year has been a huge learning curve. Some of the PP cases have been very challenging. I haven't had a paying client in 2 months but I had about a call a day as a volunteer in November. Thankfully December was quiet but I am still supporting 2 PP clients via the phone (i.e for free). I also had a baby just over 3 years ago (my fourth child) who only lived for 1 1/2 hours and I am still working through all that. So it is just lovely knowing there are other women out there who value supporting mothers breastfeed so highly. Sometimes wearing all the hats we have as women is exhausting.

This morning I have had time to read all my lactnet posts for the last few days and the stream on facebook has been very encouraging. The argument may not yet be won but there are loads of women who belive so passionately in breastfeeding and are doing something about it. Lets just keep on supporting and fighting and protecting and believing in breastfeeding.

Happy New Year from someone who needed a holiday last week and for whom the holiday is working,
Sarah.
