CranioSacralTherepy, whereby a practised and licensed practitioner
manipulate the head bones of the new born.

If you search the archives, you'll find a conversation-in-posts about
it's usefulness in TT babies, with Cathy Watson Genna. Paraphrasing
here, and it's been some time, but the gist is that TT is building up
bone movement in utero - as muscle shifts bone. So some TT babies, who
whilst practising their swallowing in utero, with their tie, have set up
misalignment of the head plates, and a skilled practitioner can release
them.

Also, the action of normal suckling re-aligns the head plates from any
normal vaginal birth. The normative jaw action 'unsquishes' the plates,
and this may not occur properly with some TT babies, as they are not
suckling effectively. So CST can 'release' things properly to allow
baby to settle into more normative suckling.

Is I Recall Correctly, she also explained that this is often the cause
of very severe initial nipple pain, that often then 'disappears'. As
the impaired suckling has finally righted itself, and the mouth and jaw
move into proper alignment after a few weeks of 'practise'. So a baby
with a tongue tie it has overcome itself, by working it all out by practice.

Obviously, this is distant memory paraphrasing, and you need to do the
search to see what she actually said!

(Who was thunderstruck by the explanation, and the thought "Of course!"
lit up in her brain, when she read the interchange.)
