Do you have any references for this recommenation to avoid tub baths?

I recall in a discussion elsewhere someone mentioning a study looking at whether water enters the vagina while bathing.  As I recall, the results were that, in general, water does not enter the vagina in any significant quantity.  Unfortunately, I don't have the reference, and I can't recall the exact group studied (e.g. was it pregnant women, women with ROM, postpartum women?).

While the recommendation seems to "make sense," I'd love to see if there's some data either way.
