Although I wrote this article many years ago (the "eight year old" in the article
is now nearly 22 years old.) The basic data is still the same. (Found my article,
nearly in it's entirely, on Wiki, with NO credit to it's original author, and I don't
know how to fix it. *sigh*)
Here are an article, and a side bar I wrote for Leaven years ago. The data is
still as relevant as the day it was written. One of these days, I'll get around to
putting it into a pamphlet, I think.

I hope that helps. I have not only researched this quite a bit, but suffered
from it myself. The only argument I have with the "revised" LLL article is that I
originally found no link to increased mastitis, as long as the Mother continued
to breastfeed on Cue, and wore a bra which fit properly.
