Has anybody had any success implementing KMC care for term newborns in US
hospitals?

I was wondering if anybody has any experience implementing KMC for term,
healthy newborns in US hospitals. I think the biggest hurdle I would have
would be having a mom sleeping while her baby is on her chest wrapped KMC
style. I'm thinking there is no way around this as the American Academy of
Pediatrics does not recommend sleeping with babies. However, it's worth
looking into.

Any comments on how any type of KMC protocols have been implemented
would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Casey Clubb, RN, IBCLC
