As with all products, Lily Padz work well for some and not others. I have
one mom who developed a rash from them after the first time she wore them.
It eventually went away and she continues to wear them. I have other moms
who have the issue of the Lily Padz not sticking - I don't know why that
happens - but for some it does.

Disclaimer: I sell Lily Padz and do so for a reason. I also leaked like a
water faucet and would wear not 1 but 3 cloth pads during the day to soak up
the milk. At night I wore a bath towel. I had a collection of 24 cloth bra
pads that got washed every day because I went through them every day. Going
out in public was annoying because everyone could see my bra pads.I couldn't
wear the disposable ones because I developed irritations to the paper and
plastic in them - I could only wear the cloth. I would have LOVED the Lily
Padz.

When moms buy them from me I counsel them to wear them when they need to go
out. At home - just leak, wear the cloth pads.but when out - wear the Lily
Padz. Breasts do need to breathe, leaking is there for a reason. But if
they want to wear them all the time between feeds that is their choice. I
have yet to have any of my clients have issues with mastitis or plugged
ducts as a result of wearing LP. (and I have sold tons of them!) It is
important that Lily Padz has the 'call your dr if." statement - that is good
business sense and also good advice.

Re: the comment that they keep pressure on the nipple while wearing - well,
so does anything else you wear on your breast. Nipples that normally stick
out a bit are typically flattened into the breast a bit by a well fitting
bra. Bra pads push the nipple back into the breast a bit simply by the
pressure of the pad and the bra flap. The only difference is that the Lily
Padz do not collect the milk.that it is. The milk tries to come out into a
non-soaking up material so it has nowhere to go. This is something some
moms really need.

Interesting discussion.
