re: Jennifer Tow's post re normal stooling, I'm not so sure I can agree with the premise that "one stool per meal is normal for adults".  Or for anyone (sorry, Jen).  From my study of physiology, I seem to recollect that one of the functions of the large intestine is to remove water and accumulate a bolus of stool to be passed in a single movement.  I've not seen any "evidence" (i.e. literature) to the contrary.  Also, I recollect from research I did a few years ago that if one looks at the most primitive self-sufficient cultures on earth, the typical human adult stools once daily or even less often, having large (2 pounds or more), soft stools, regardless of frequency.  Since those folks are probably functioning in a more "biologic" pattern than the rest of us, I think I would be more concerned at one stool per meal than a baby stooling every few days, especially if a lot of the diet were still breastmilk.
Besides, looking at the whole individual, happy and thriving works for me!
