Feeling snippy reading this but...
If the baby is 7 months , the father would only be "inconvenienced"  
(gritting my teeth here) for a few months. It is my impression with cases like  this 
when children are SO young  that things can and should be  renegotiated as 
children mature. Sadly, often the adults never do...
