Hi Everyone,
A client of mine was told by her Dr (Ped) that since baby's stools were
green every now and again and that since she (Ped) tested them and there was
a tiny, tiny bit of blood in them that baby was most likely allergic to
dairy. Mom was instructed to go off dairy immediately AND go to her local
pharmacy, ask the pharmacist for VSL #3 (I think this was the number mom
told me), pump breastmilk to mix this stuff in (give 1/3 package every day
for 3 weeks) and feed this to baby via bottle. Baby has been on breast
only, mom has never pumped. Mom is concerned about putting something that
neither she nor I have ever heard of into her baby's body, and is also
worried about introducing the bottle and having to pump.
Thoughts? What is this stuff? All info appreciated!
Warmly,
Jaye
PS - Thanks for the Ordinance information!
