I wonder if that's why I feel better with this pregnancy than I did with 
my first, because I'm still nursing.  Even though my son (who is 2) only 
nurses 2-3 times per day, I am not as uncomfortable as I was the first 
time, and the best part is that I don't have PIH (at least not yet, and 
hopefully not ever).  I had PIH the last time and started meds at 31 
weeks, showed signs of my BP creeping up long before then.  Now I'm 32 
weeks with a perfectly normal blood pressure.  I'm even heavier than the 
last time so who knows!  I don't think my diet is that different, maybe 
so but it's not drastically so.

I also liked Flowers' book because it was realistic, and it did give 
suggestions for weaning (and permission!) if a pregnant mom 
wanted/needed to do that.  To me, weaning my son just went against 
everything I felt in my heart, but I know that's definitely not the case 
with all moms!

I'd love to see more studies done on nursing while pregnant, there just 
isn't much information out there!
