Hi Catherine

I don't know if this work has been published or if you've seen it yet -
we've had the privilege of working with and hearing Peter Hartmann's team
over many many years and this was one recent research project involving
ultrasound here in lovely Perth, Western Australia.
http://www.kemh.health.wa.gov.au/development/research/poster.pdf

I have a particular interest in tongue-tie as I have one myself and both my
boys have them - lack of tongue movement is quite significant too - neither
boy's tongue-tie was clipped and both breastfed (3yrs and 5 yrs
respectively). I was breastfed only for 3 months but more an issue of
misinformation about timed feeds, sleeping through the night, dummies,
introduction of water/formula/solids etc etc etc :-( in the early 60s - my
mum can't remember any significant issues with attachment/soreness/failure
to thrive etc.

regards
Del
