Subject: New Guidelines for IBCLCs
I have read more than a few of the posts about the new guidelines and would
like to post a moderate response:
Most IBCLCs are much more knowledgeable than physicians about breastfeeding
and should correct doctors errors at every possible opportunity.
This is in the best interests of mothers and babies and might actually save
lives from time to time. Quiet submissive IBCLCs stink, IMHO.
As an aside, most stump posts know more about breastfeeding than most
doctors. This of course, does not include the doctors on this list.
