Norwegian mothers produce breastmilk for 6.5 million kroner a year. The
article appeared in the business newspaper Dagens Næringsliv (344,000
readers) on saturday. It was great to read that breastfeeding is
considered an economic asset: 2% of all food produced in Norway. In a
country like Mali, breastmilk represents 5% of the bnp. The article,
writen by Sarah Hambro, also points out the considerable savings to the
health care system.
It will take me a while to translate it..............but I will do it,
to Spanish and English.
All the best,
Lavinia Belli, LLL, IBCLC
