Most of the moms I see are still taking their vitamins.  And most of the 
time they keep taking them but eliminate cowsmilk (or whatever the offending 
food turns out to be) and the baby gets better.  I wish this wasn't such a 
common problem, but I would estimate I see 3 mom-baby pairs/week with a food 
sensitivity issue.

I am the first to admit this is largely anecdotal info.  But there is at 
least one study of "colic" showing breastfed babies improved overall when 
moms avoided cowsmilk.
