Hi all
This story sounds very familiar to Breastfeeding Counsellors in Australia.
We received a series of prank calls from a man claiming to be a recent
migrant from Poland who was concerned about the possibility of his wife
getting arrested for indecent exposure while breastfeedig on Australian
beaches.  He cliamed that it is normal to breastfeed topless in Poland.  The
calls were received in every state so I expect this guy was using VOIP.
This may or may not be the same guy (and I hope it is not) but if it is, he
is not interested in listening to what you have to say ... Only in listening
to feed his own fetish ... Perhaps it would be worth letting LLL know of
this story so that the time of their volunteers is not wasted

Subject: When a mom nearly gets arrested for BF

Hello my Lactnet friends,

I haven't posted in a while. I have been going to school and absolutely =

crazy swamped with my studies....
Anyhow, I got a pretty sad call yesterday from a man visiting from Poland=
 
with his family. He'd gotten my name and phone number off of our local
breastfeeding coalitions website to ask me if it is legal to breastfeed i= n
public here in California. I assured him that it is and gave him resource= s
at where he could see the BF accomodation laws. He was very relieved that=
 
his wife could feed their kids in public. They'd been in Austin TX before=
 
coming to CA. and his wife was nearly arrested because of her "indecent =

exposure" while tandem feeding her 15 mo. old and her 27 month ols children.
The officer handcuffed her right there in a cafe in Austin whic= h actually
exposed her breasts much more than the tandem feed ever did. The=
 
man was crying because he could tell that his wife was scared and
humiliated! He wanted to ensure that this would not happen here. I assure= d
him that it wouldn't

He gave me permission to post and wanted me to ask the question, "What =

recourse does he have for this situation?" Was the situation in fact
warranted to cuff a woman and humiliate her and expose her so offensively=
 
in public that way (Oh,BTW, they ended up having to pay a hefty fine, too)?
I know nothing of Texas BF laws. Can my fellow Texan BF advocates =

educate me?
