my babysitter breastfed her dd for 2 yrs, that was 2 yr ago (she's now 4) she's
with me and my now 6 mo baby from 7:30a-3:30p M-F and some eve's(since he was 2
mo). I still directly BF all but 3-5 oz of EBM and 1-2 feedings of solids, she
holds him most of the time, we drive a lot and (she doesn't drive so I'm
driving) and she's comforting him in the back, he only sleeps with me at night
(nursing all night) and also needs her to lay down with him to nap in the day,
I have a room in my office where they are there's a couch, changing table
microwave, sink, fridge etc... she holds him in a coudly BF postion, he doesn't
take much of the EBM, but loves solids, soooo.... the other day she told me that
she noticed that she's producing some milk, I was a little surprised, I asked
her if she ever put him to her breast, she said no, so I just shrugged my
shoulders. Can it be just from the contant holding? How about handling my milk
(she pours it into 2 oz bottles, cleans pump parts etc..) how about phermones
from being with me? Should I be worried that she is comfort nursing him? They
are in my view most of the time, I trust that she said no, I'm not totally
against people wet nursing (like I actually asked my sister to do it if
anything ever happened to me) but right now, having to work I feel like its
such a personal special bond with my baby, I would feel violated if someone was
doing it with out permission. Am I just paronoid, b/c I know you can have milk
for years after BF, appreciate you input Amy
