Hello Friends,
I thought I'd put an end to this debate about the Lansinoh pump.
I met the VP of Marketing for Lansinoh in December at the Del
Mar Baby Expo, and she in fact told me that this pump IS the
Hollister/Ameda Purely Yours. The woman was very lovely and
she told me and my colleague that this is the first item
in a partnership that Lansinoh and Hollister are trying to
forge to get their (Hollister/Ameda's) foot in the door of
the "big box" stores such as Wal-Mart and Target, and to reach a
demographic that might not be able to afford the Medela PNS. I
thought it was genius. I am glad that lower income moms will now
have a decent alternative for pumps in the right price range.
Until the next time,
Veronica Tingzon, IBCLC, RLC
