These messages are a real heads-up related to breastfeeding babies'
enhanced immune systems. But because they would have been exposed with mom
and show no symptoms for 16 days +/-, I see no reason to do anything but
continue BFing. There will be officials who advise it, so we need to have
our answers ready.

I heard another report last night that several turkey farms in these
countries with known exposure fell victim to Avian Flu. The claims is that
absolutely no migrating birds came in contact with these protected farm
turkeys. Speculation: (1) droppings from the air, or (2) it's in the feed.
One alleged cause of Mad Cow Disease was the new feed that allegedly
contained ground - well, they used dead sheep to provide the protein
component for the feed for the cattle. In our brave new world, cattle are
being fed something that is not a normal part of their food chain - a
"novel food". People in the UK: please add your comments - privately if
this gets too far astray of the focus on BFing.

Thinking of my infection-vector bowling league last night: dirty balls,
"high-fiving", eating & drinking, and of a huge chicken/egg ranch in our
Valley. They are inside a building, not open to the sky, but what are they
using traditional feed or "novel" feed? And can humans get Avian Flu from
eating the eggs of infected hens? Or food products made from those eggs? -
before the infection was detected in the farm?
Where's my cave.....?
