Anyone interested would find this article by Susun Weed very
informative.

Raspberry leaf has a very long history of safe use in pregnant women.
Herbalists and midwives I have worked with have recommended its use
during the entire pregnancy. Red rsapberry tonifies the uterus, so it
would certainly help labor to begin when the mother's body is ready.
Most women having homebirths do not have premature babies, but a very
high percentage use red raspberry throughout their pregnancies.
Certainly, the experience of midwives would cause them to be more
cautious if they observed complications with its use, but this is not
generally the case. There are some studies that I found on-line that
show red raspberry reduces the risk of cesarean and use of forceps.
