Dear Friends:
   Actually, this is probably what happens, via the  enteromammary pathway. 
The j-chains of SiG (I hope that is correct) do their  thing and put antibodies 
in the newborn milk to protect the baby.
    The mom ideally shouldn't be washed. And what  happens? Her skin is 
swabbed with betadine, an iodine-based antibacterial? And  now there are gloves and 
drapes impregnated with  antibacterials................and we have nastier 
and nastier bugs.
