Hello. I have searched the archives and Dr. Hale's site. I have a mother
who will be on coumadin for a year-not a high dose. She is also taking
aldactone and she is not sure how long she will need to take it. Both of
these meds are L2 and AAP compatible. I know coumadin does not easily pass
into breastmilk so amounts are very small. Dr. Hale is not available for
questions at this time. Just wanted your thoughts on long term use of these
meds. So far her doctors are fine with her continuing to breastfeed.
Thanks for your time once again.
