The reason I despise the term "breastfeeding Nazi" is not that it accuses
breastfeeding supporters of being militant, but because it labels them with
a name that represents a group of people who massacred, slaughtered and
tortured millions of men, women and children. People can call me militant if
they choose. That's an opinion. But to call me a Nazi? Truly, it makes me
want to vomit. What the Nazis did was pure evil, and to water it down by
applying that label waters down the memory of the atrocities of the
holocaust.
How can the term "Nazi" become slang for "militant"? It is not. The term
Nazi must always mean one thing only. The faction that mudered millions and
millions of people in the most vile and horrifying ways possible. We must
never forget. I hope the term will always bring sour bile to the mouths of
all who hear it and a silent or verbal commitment that we will never allow
that to happen again. Ever.

passionate about breastfeeding, militant about language choice. A Nazi? God
forbid. Never never never.
