Several women in my family insist on saying that they like the sound of
a baby crying, as long as it isn't their own baby. I grew up with my
mother saying this, and now my sister says it (and incidentally still
leaves her 2yo to cry it out at night). I used to be accustomed to the
idea, but now it is very creepy.
